Chandra Rao More of Jawali: All the Mavals agreed with the greatness of Shivaraya's work. His name is everywhere. Shivrai became the king of the people, but he disappeared in the eyes of some people. It was like this. More was a Jahagirdar of Jawali, his Jahagir was from Raigad to Koyna valley. He was the baron of Adilshah of Bijapur. Adilshah had given him the book 'Chandrarao'. Jawali forest was very dense. There was no sunlight all day long. Beasts like tigers, wolves, bears etc. were circulating in it. The peacock's nest was like a tiger's nest! Therefore, no one would go the way of Morya, but the brave Shivaraya did it. It was because of him that Daulatrao More died in 1645. Began in his heirs. Shivaraya helped Yashwantrao More. With his help, Yashwantrao ascended the throne of Jawali as Chandrarao. At that time, Yashwantrao agreed to pay a ransom to Shivaraya. He also promised to help in his work, but when he ascended the throne, he forgot all about it. Which Shivaji and which agreement! He began to act recklessly. Yashwantrao started shouting that he should attack the people of Swarajya and harass the people. Shivaraya realized that if it was not taken care of in time, Swarajya would suffer.
'Rebellion will be killed': Shivaraya first sent a letter to Yashwantrao More. 'You are called kings. We are kings. If Srisambhu has given us the kingdom, then you should not call us kings. Yashwantrao Morya wrote rudely, 'You went to Raje yesterday. Who gave you the kingdom? By the grace of Shri, Adilshah kindly showed us the book Raje, Chhatrachamar, Simhasan. If you take measures here, there will be harm. 'Shivaraya gave the opposite tola,' by lowering the jawali, not as a king, removing the umbrella, tying handkerchiefs, coming to visit, to serve the lord. If you rebel against it, you will be killed. 'There was a dense forest around Jawali. The fort of Ryrie was invincible. The Morea congregation was also numerous. Jawali was not easy to win. After a lot of preparation, Shivaraya invaded Jawali. Yashwantrao fought for about a month, but many of his troops were killed. Eventually Yashwantrao fled to Rayari with his children. Shivaraya took Jawali. Then Shivrai walked on Ryari. They laid siege to the fort of Ryrie. Yashwantrao fought hard for three months, but eventually had to withdraw.
Fort Raigad: The victory of Jawali was very important. Due to that victory, Shivaraya's self-government was doubled. Yashwantrao's army also came and met Shivaraya. The huge fort of Rairi came under Swarajya. Shivaraya was blessed to see this fort. He named this fort 'Raigad'. They then built a new fort on the nearby Bhorapya hill. He was named Pratapgad.
