Indian politicians vs foreign politicians
The Indian politicians
are hungry after power authority and always want to misuse their political
power at the highest point.
Indian politicians are have high power
·
Voters are not asking questions , so we need to go them and ask
WHY
·
Media is not doing their job correctly. They are going every
politicians to get their comment on any issues ( this way giving importance to
that politicians )
·
Voters are used to “FREEBIES” so who ever is giving freebies ,
giving votes to them.
·
They never discuss on development plan but rather argue with
oppositions with dirty words.
·
Voters should be alerted all time and same time we expect
transparency in all projects.
Difereance between Indian and US POLITICIANS
1.
In USA candidates of same political parties contests each other
to become President nominee while in India they compete only to opposition
parties.
2.
In election of USA candidates of different political parties do
debate on media and tell their vision and other things while in India they do
this indirect way, not in front of media.
3.
In India politicians when get elected they try to be permanent
and consider them selves above the law and sometime they think they are the Law
while in USA they respect law and lives like other citizen.
4.
Nepotism is in boom in India while this thing in USA is much
less in comparison to India.
5.
Corruption will be same in USA and India but in India it seems
to be high.
6.
In India politicians has no responsibilities while in USA they
have responsibilities.
India is doing good
in every field be it science, technology, medicine or education but it's
politics is still based on some old photo ops tactics of visiting houses and
eating food with them once in five years. From dividing people on the basis of
religion, caste, creed and gender openly in speeches to distributing blankets
among the poor to making misogynistic statements, indian politics is still the
same. Employing criminals and goons to target political rivals is common.
Violence in elections is still normal and people too don't have any issues with
that….many people here in india vote on whether the political party support our
religion or not simply emboldening the politicians even more. In America too
the things are not good but still I think the law and order situation is well
maintained there especially during elections (capitol Hill is an exception) ..
…but I feel the people here have started thinking rationally and it is still
not beyond the realms of possibility that india too would soon have great minds
in the business of politics 😉
Westerners and Indians both are familiar with western political thought
but by and large neither of them are familiar with original Indian political
thought. Even I am not not familiar with Indian political thought and I believe
that's the case with most of you.
The paucity of Indian political thought in our public discourse and the
ideological framework of major political parties has often bothered me. I mean
all of us at least broadly familiar with Classical Liberalism, Republicanism,
ideals of the American and French Revolution, Marxism, Fascism and Socialism
but we almost draw a blank when it comes to Indian political thought. The only
treatises that come to mind are the Arthashastra of Chanakya
and the Nitisara of Kamandaka. Modern treatises on political
thought are Vinayak Savarkar's Hindutva and Deen
Dayal Upaddhyay's philosophy/theory of Integral Humanism. However
there are a number of Shastras/Smritis that served as manuals of
governance/informal constitution for kings in ancient and medieval times. There
is the Anushasana Parva in the Mahabharata where Bhishma lying on the bed of
arrows gives advice to Yuddhisthira about the duties and responsibilities of a
king.
It is highly
improbable that the rich intellectual hesitate of the Indian civilization does
not include our own political thought. There is some material here and there on
Indian political thought but I have yet to come across a comprehensive work on
it or maybe I haven't looked hard enough. Dr. Radhakrishnan's Hindu
View of Life and Indian Philosophy are probably good
places to start although they are not exactly treatises on indigenous political
thought but philosophy.
